GPD è tornata con la terza iterazione della sua popolare linea di mini laptop, con l’appropriatamente chiamato GPD Pocket 3! Questo laptop compatto ricco di funzionalità è completamente attrezzato e flessibile abbastanza da soddisfare tutte le tue esigenze di calcolo quotidiane con facilità.

Il GPD Pocket 3 viene in due varianti, una “high-end” e la versione “base”. Entrambe perfette per scenari diversi.

Il modello high-end è dotato di un processore i7 di 11agenerazione. È in grado di funzionare fino a 5,0GHz sotto carico. Questo è supportato da 16GB di RAM LPDDR4x a una frequenza di 3733MHz e un SSD NVMe M.2 da 1TB . Nel complesso, il modello high-end è eccellente per eseguire attività impegnative in movimento come editing video, editing foto e persino un po’ di gaming!

All’altro estremo, abbiamo il modello base. Questa versione più economica è dotata di un Intel Pentium N6000 (con una velocità massima di 3,3GHz) e 8GB di RAM LPDDR4x (funzionante a 2933MHz). Contiene anche un SSD NVMe M.2 da 512GB . Questo Pocket 3 base è eccellente come dispositivo quotidiano per prendere appunti, rispondere alle email in movimento e altri semplici compiti durante la giornata.

Oltre alla pletora di interfacce di cui il dispositivo già dispone (USB, Thunderbolt, RJ45, ecc.), il GPD Pocket 3 presenta anche una “interfaccia di connessione modulare”. Ciò consente di regolare liberamente le porte del GPD Pocket 3 in base alle proprie esigenze. Volete una porta USB in più per un altro dispositivo? Nessun problema. Avete bisogno di interfacciarvi con un server? È facile con il modulo KVM dedicato!*

Debian Trixie and Pentium GPD is a gold combination.

I have the Pentium Gold version of this computer. I promptly erased Windows and installed Debian Trixie on the computer. The computer build quality is superb. The computer feels solid and sturdy a good strong build. Debian Trixie works like a charm everything works out of the box. I am using the plasma environment and the only adjustments I had to make was to rotate the screen (it defaulted to portrait mode) once rotated the automatic rotation works fine. The touch screen works, Bluetooth works, Wifi works camera works, and sound works. The computer is very responsive on Trixie and boots fast. Thekey board feels good. the keyboard does take a little getting use to with some of the keys but the keyboard is an overall good feel. I have not tested the pen functionality yet as I am waiting on a pen to come. I get about 6 hours battery life with streaming videos for the full 6 hours. This is a great laptop for travel and charges with USB-C. Runs awesome with Linux just what I was looking for. A side not Grub and SDDM start in portrait mode to you can either ignore it or do a Brave search on how to fix the portrait mode. It isnt hard to change Grub and SDDM to landscape mode but you do have to be familiar with the terminal. I highly recommend this computer for use with Linux. The Laptop is an excellent small laptop convenient for travel, sturdy build, and excellent Linux compatibility it is a great purchase. The attached picture is Trixie with plasma 6 desktop.

Small, Portable, not for Gaming.

Light and portable. Great I/O. Not for gaming at all. Underpowered and the screen hinge is a bit wobbly for me.

Great machine, great service

This is fantastic tiny laptop. Having previously used a UMPC from a different manufacturer and been left disappointed; I was nervous to spend twice as much on the pocket 3 but I shouldn’t have worried. It packs a lot of power into such a tiny form factor and has already become a daily driver for me. For a refurbished unit, it is in superb condition, I could only find one tiny mark on the lid, The rest was spotless.
Droix couldn’t have been more helpful with this order. Even when part of the order wasn’t available from their stock (KVM & Serial module) they didn’t do the usual (say sorry and partial refund) they took the effort to source from elsewhere and ship direct to me. They even contacted me before the main delivery to explain it all. Couldn’t be happier. Many thanks

Awesome Device

I can fully recommend this device. It is small and therefore perfect for traveling. It has a low battery consumption in my daily use of work, a very bright screen and is very fast (I have the i7 Version). I also have the metapen surface M2 which works flawlessly (and still fits into the gpd case).
