GPD vuelve con la tercera iteración de su popular línea de miniportátiles, el GPD Pocket 3, de acertado nombre. Este portátil de pequeño formato, repleto de funciones, está totalmente equipado y es lo suficientemente flexible como para satisfacer todas sus necesidades informáticas cotidianas con facilidad.

El GPD Pocket 3 está disponible en dos versiones, una “de gama alta” y otra “básica”. Ambos son perfectos para diferentes escenarios.

El modelo de gama alta cuenta con un procesador 11ªgeneración i7. Es capaz de funcionar a hasta 5.0GHz bajo carga. Esto está respaldado por 16GB de RAM LPDDR4x a una frecuencia de 3733MHz y un SSD M.2 NVMe de 1TB . En general, el modelo de gama alta es excelente para realizar tareas exigentes en movimiento, como edición de vídeo, edición de fotos e incluso algunos juegos.

En el otro extremo de la escala, tenemos el modelo base. Esta versión más económica cuenta con un Intel Pentium N6000 (con una velocidad máxima de 3.3GHz) y 8GB de RAM LPDDR4x (funcionando a 2933MHz). También contiene un SSD M.2 NVMe de 512GB . Esta base Pocket 3 es excelente como dispositivo de uso diario para tomar notas, responder correos electrónicos sobre la marcha y otras tareas sencillas a lo largo del día.

Además de la plétora de interfaces que ya tiene el dispositivo (USB, Thunderbolt, RJ45, etc.), el GPD Pocket 3 también cuenta con una “interfaz de conexión modular”. Esto le permite ajustar libremente los puertos del GPD Pocket 3 para adaptarlos a sus necesidades. ¿Quieres un puerto USB adicional para otro dispositivo? Just what I wanted

As much as I love my ipad, i wanted a small but versatile device for writing and other productivity tasks. This item fits well for my needs. I will note that I have small hands, and this device may not be perfect for those with larger ones.

GPD Pocket 3 – A Mobile Tool for Remote Work

I purchased the GPD Pocket 3 as an ultra-mobile laptop with an Intel Pentium Gold 7505 processor for work (Call Center tasks, writing reviews, and manual testing). After a few days of use, I can confidently say that it has been a very successful purchase.

🖥️ Display and battery
The display is more than sufficient for everyday work, and with the brightness set to around 20–25%, it allows for several hours of comfortable use.
After proper system optimization, the laptop delivers an average of 5–7 hours of battery life under moderate workload (Opera, Teams, LibreOffice).

🎧 Accessories / comfort
I use the laptop with a wireless mouse and Bluetooth headphones — everything works smoothly and reliably. After installing a 1mm thick camera privacy cover (because privacy matters), the lid lifts slightly on the cover side; however, this does not affect daily usability in any way.

✅ Pros:
✔️ excellent mobility and compact size
✔️ very good amount of RAM
✔️ fast and responsive SSD
✔️ solid performance for office work
✔️ ergonomic keyboard and well-balanced device size

⚠️ Cons:
❌ no option to select the Polish language during the initial setup (system language, keyboard layout, date and time must be configured manually)
❌ typing Polish characters requires using the Ctrl + Alt + letter combination — it is possible to get used to, but initially feels unintuitive
❌ the Opera browser may occasionally crash despite up-to-date drivers

💬 Summary
The GPD Pocket 3 is an excellent choice for users looking for a small, portable computer designed for productivity. It performs perfectly in Call Center work, writing tasks, manual testing, and handling lightweight applications.

P.S. The case included with the Christmas purchase is also very high quality, handy, and very stylish.

One more question regarding bypass charging. Can we set bypass charging after battery level reach certain percentage, like 85 % to activate bypass charging?

For the GPD-POCKET-3-I3_1125G4-16GB_RAM-4TB_ROM_STYLUS model you are referring to it does support bypass charging but only when at 100% then switches to the charger. You can not set the % limit We recommend the GPD Pocket 4 which does support it.

It was compatible with the older processors used on the GPD Pocket 3 so it should run on the latest. We can not guarantee full compatibility as GPD do not officially support Linux.
