GPD vuelve con la tercera iteración de su popular línea de miniportátiles, el GPD Pocket 3, de acertado nombre. Este portátil de pequeño formato, repleto de funciones, está totalmente equipado y es lo suficientemente flexible como para satisfacer todas sus necesidades informáticas cotidianas con facilidad.

El GPD Pocket 3 está disponible en dos versiones, una “de gama alta” y otra “básica”. Ambos son perfectos para diferentes escenarios.

El modelo de gama alta cuenta con un procesador 11ªgeneración i7. Es capaz de funcionar a hasta 5.0GHz bajo carga. Esto está respaldado por 16GB de RAM LPDDR4x a una frecuencia de 3733MHz y un SSD M.2 NVMe de 1TB . En general, el modelo de gama alta es excelente para realizar tareas exigentes en movimiento, como edición de vídeo, edición de fotos e incluso algunos juegos.

En el otro extremo de la escala, tenemos el modelo base. Esta versión más económica cuenta con un Intel Pentium N6000 (con una velocidad máxima de 3.3GHz) y 8GB de RAM LPDDR4x (funcionando a 2933MHz). También contiene un SSD M.2 NVMe de 512GB . Esta base Pocket 3 es excelente como dispositivo de uso diario para tomar notas, responder correos electrónicos sobre la marcha y otras tareas sencillas a lo largo del día.

Además de la plétora de interfaces que ya tiene el dispositivo (USB, Thunderbolt, RJ45, etc.), el GPD Pocket 3 también cuenta con una “interfaz de conexión modular”. ULTRA MOBILE AND FULL OF FEATURES

The size and portability of this device coupled with its power, functionality and features make it a highly desirable device. For professionals that are frequently out on the road and need a small, high-powered device that they can carry with them - this is an amazing form factor.

Many improvements over the pocket 2, although lack of SD slot to add memory not so good. Keyboard swapped symbols issues, as before with pocket 2 hasnt been resolved.

Mini powerhouse

This is a great little laptop, I needed something super portable which had windows as the operating system so that I could continue with my emails and excel on the move. I found that trying to use android just wouldn't work for me (the excel is very different and emails won't connect directly with the server and have to be read a second time before deleting off a windows system). I now have linked up a separate 24 inch monitor and keyboard/mouse to use at the office so that it replicates a PC so I now have the perfect setup for both worlds. The pocket 3 keyboard is great to use with it's well proportioned keys, the screen is obviously small but still very usable for on the move reading emails etc, although excel calculations would be a bit of a challenge. All in all I'm very pleased.

Great portable device bringing back netbook sizes with laptop power.

The Pocket 3 is a robust device solid in construction with 3 USB 3 and a USB c port. I love the full size Ethernet port and full size HDMI moving away for the need to carry a bag full of adapters as I do for my godawful Dell XPS. Theh i7 version is 16gb RAM came with Windows 11 but sadly home edition which for a machine like this was disappointing. Linux users will find latest kernel support. Touch screen was good . Pen a little more tricky having to find a script to run on the manufactures website to get working again a small thing but poor QA. The full size keys are a joy and GPD seem to have spent more time on the hinge which feel solid unlike the GPD engineer I had that suffered the broken hinge. The option for serial is great but for me the single USB c is a missed opportunity with the supplied one being USB3. However, powering from USB C (and charging from a battery pack) full size ports and the flexibility of touch screen and it's fabulous size makes this a must have for engineers and techs on the move.

It was compatible with the older processors used on the GPD Pocket 3 so it should run on the latest. We can not guarantee full compatibility as GPD do not officially support Linux.

You can not use this as a phone with SIM card. The GPD Pocket 4 and GPD WIN MAX 2 do have 4G modules but this is only for data and not calls.
